Coastal scents concealer palette7/25/2023 ![]() The texture is very thick and I would recommend using a sponge or a nice concealer brush to blend it out. In the summertime, the texture is nice and creamy and you can get an idea from the swatches how easily it spreads. The texture of these becomes very hard in the winters when its cold outside and you need to warm them up with your finger in order to loosen the product else it would not blend well enough. The yellow can be used on top of an orange corrector to counteract any darkness and brighten the skin. The Mint green can be used to counteract any redness and the lavender is used to neutralize yellow coloured discolouration. There is also a light sparkly silver colour which can be used to highlight but I have not tried it that way yet because until now I was a little bit confused as to how to use that. There are three/four colour correcting shades. The size of the concealer pans is also pretty good and I have no problems with the packaging either. This palette has all the shades for any skintone be it very light or very dark. I got this concealer palette as a part of a set with another 88 colour eyeshadow palette and a brush kit on sale on the coastal scents website. On balance, it’s no big whoop.Today I’m reviewing a product I have had for ages but never got around to reviewing on my blog. I guess I’d be more concerned about it if I didn’t do the exact same thing with UD’s palettes, as I get a good amount of fallout from their shadows, too. Like WHOA! To deal with it, I usually end up doing my eyes first, cleaning up whatever falls on my cheeks, and then finishing the rest of my makeup. If you decide to work with this palette, consider doing your eyes first, as I do experience some fallout with the shimmers (but not so much with the mattes). Additional makeup worn in this look: Sigma Beauty Serene Powder Blush on my cheeks and Sigma Beauty Tint Lip Gloss on my lips They don’t appear heavy on my lids, don’t draw attention to my fine lines, and I don’t sprain my wrist blending them out, either. When I run my finger across the pans, the powders feel creamy and bunny-tail soft - there’s no grit. Naked dupe or not, I really like these Coastal Scents eyeshadows. Of course, there is a big price difference… Plus, their shimmers are shinier, and overall, I think they just blend a tad better (at least for me). I think it’s a valiant effort, but not an exact dupe, as UD’s shadows seem to lay down a little more pigment. Swatches of the top row…Ĭolor-wise, it’s like getting Naked and Naked2 in a single palette, and something tells me Coastal Scents borrowed heavily from both UD palettes, because many of the shades are similar. ![]() Open the cardboard packaging (it has a magnetic closure), and Revealed reveals two rows of 10 eyeshadows, for 20 total, all of them neutrals, with 16 shimmers and four mattes. So, why the Revealed palette? Well, if you eyed Urban Decay’s Naked and/or Naked2 palettes but didn’t spring due to their price ($52 each), Revealed could be an option. None of the products are too expensive, either, and the aren’t tested on animals. ![]() I recently started testing a few things from the line, and uh, yeah, so far, I’m not seeing any shortages of pigment. It seemed like for a hot second there, the Coastal Scents 88 Palette (with, like, every color imaginable) was hella trendy. ![]() I didn’t know much about the brand before this week, only what I’d heard on YouTube.
